Wall building materials
Building materials are being used in the new project at the new National Museum of Ireland.
The new National Gallery of Ireland will be located in the former Cork Town Hall and will be built on the former site of the former Connaught Barracks.
The first phase of the project will be the installation of a 1,000-tonne steel-framed concrete slab and a new 3-metre-high steel-and-concrete wall.
The structure will contain 3,500,000 bricks.
There will also be the creation of a new sculpture, an exhibition on Irish architecture and the new Irish Language Centre.
Construction of the building is scheduled to start in 2020 and the building itself will open to the public in 2021.
It will include the creation and installation of the National Gallery, Irish Language Center, Irish Art Gallery, Museum of Fine Arts, Irish National History Museum and the National Museum in Ireland.
