GM says he won’t be buying any NHL players
In a radio interview Tuesday, Minnesota GM Chuck Fletcher said he’s not interested in buying any of the current NHL players.
Fletcher says he would like to add some young, high-end players.
“I would like a young, elite, top line player who can score, who can skate, who’s willing to take risks,” Fletcher said.
“We’ve got a good crop of young players.
We need to keep them.”
Fletcher said that he has been working on the front office staff for the past year and said the club has not made a final decision.
“It’s not like we’re going to do a draft or anything like that,” Fletcher told Minnesota’s Sports Radio Network.
“At the end of the day, you’re going in there and you have to work with the players that are in there.
And that’s what we’re doing right now.”
